The Vertasys™ tooth system was initially developed using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to reduce the chance of fatigue cracking and limit the risk of overload conditions.
This was followed by in-house simulation testing to limit the effects of impacted fines, verify cold weather operation, confirm superior lock strength and cyclic loading to confirm point bit failure before point box or nose failure.
Testing then moved to the field to fine-tune and verify that the Vertasys construction tooth system met ESCO standards for performance excellence.
