John Deere Adds MB60 Material Boom for Precise Lifting on Compact Machines

John Deere has added a new tool to its compact equipment lineup with the introduction of the MB60 Material Boom, aimed at improving control when lifting and placing awkward or heavy loads.

Built for applications like landscaping, general contracting and nursery work, the MB60 gives operators another option when buckets, forks or grapples aren’t the right fit. The boom is designed for situations where precise placement and controlled rigging matter more than bulk material handling.

“The MB60 Material Boom is designed to make difficult lifts feel more manageable,” said Emily Pagura, marketing manager at John Deere. “It offers versatility and helps operators execute precise placement with greater confidence.”

The attachment carries a rated lifting capacity of 6,000 lbs. and features dual hook points, giving operators flexibility to rig loads based on size, shape and balance. That added adjustability can make a difference when handling irregular materials or working in tighter staging areas.

Mounted on a skid steer, compact track loader or compact wheel loader, the MB60 extends reach and helps place loads in spots that are difficult to access with standard attachments. It’s particularly suited for confined jobsites where maneuverability and accuracy are critical.

Operator access was also considered in the design, with serrated steps intended to improve footing during entry and exit. The boom is compatible across a range of John Deere compact machines when paired with the appropriate coupler interface.

With the MB60, Deere continues to round out its attachment offerings for compact equipment.
