THUMBS FOR EXCAVATORS AND BACKHOES
Used in conjunction with a bucket or a rake, the thumb attachment helps the excavator and backhoe operator grab rocks, stumps, logs and other objects in much the same way a human thumb secures an object held in your hand. They are available in mechanical or hydraulic versions. Mechanical thumbs cost less and rely on the bucket’s closing force to secure the load. Hydraulic thumbs offer more versatility, productivity and convenience.
