Doug Schindel, President of Weldco Companies, retired on May 29th, 2015.\u00a0 Doug has been with Weldco since 1973, and served as the organization\u2019s President since 2001. He was instrumental in leading significant growth, including the acquisition of Ontario based Bateman Manufacturing (Attachment division)\u00a0in 2006 as well as the development of a new steel fabrication and repair facility in Alberta\u2019s Oil Sands in 2009.<\/p>\n
Darren Lunt, Vice President Sales and Marketing,\u00a0has taken over as President of Weldco Companies. Darren brings over 25 years of senior management experience, the last ten being with Weldco where he led the Company\u2019s sales, marketing and new business development initiatives. His focus on the customer, people skills, business acumen, product knowledge, and leadership abilities will support him well as he takes on the new title and responsibilities of President. Darren is committed to community service and sits on two NAIT Industry Advisory Committees as well as the YMCA of Northern Alberta Board. Darren holds a Marketing Diploma from NAIT and an MBA from Athabasca University.<\/p>\n
