German Attachment Manufacturer ROCKWHEEL Acquires HARTL Crusher

On July 11, 2019 it was announced that Hartl Engineering & Marketing GmbH was acquired by Rokla GmbH, a leading producer of rotary cutters under the ROCKWHEEL brand.

Rokla GmbH, based in Langenburg, Germany, has acquired 100% of the shares in Hartl. The acquisition was effective June 27, 2019.

The Modular Solutions Division is not a part of the acquisition and will remain with the Hartl family.

Rockla is a leading producer of rotary cutters and has been operating worldwide since 2013. In 2018, Rokla was awarded the Focus Magazine prize as the fastest growing company in the German machinery and plant engineering sector. Rokla intends to capitalize on the synergies between ROCKWHEEL and HARTL CRUSHER to further strengthen its position as the technical leader in the hydraulic attachment sector.

As part of the acquisition, Robert Piasecki and Klaus Volkert (the managing partners of Rokla) will be appointed to the management of Hartl together with Dominik Hartl. Alexander Hartl will leave the company. Hartl Engineering & Marketing GmbH’s head office will remain in Austria and will continue to operate in the crusher and screening buckets market under the HARTL CRUSHER brand.

Hartl Engineering & Marketing GmbH’s existing contracts will be unaffected by the change in the ownership structure. Hartl management looks forward to continuing the cooperation with its suppliers, dealers and customers.
